WHO SAID DINOSAURS ARE EXTINCT?

6/10: We were lucky enough to capture a photo with this large 80 foot creature in the town of Wall, SD. Fortunately this Brontosaurus was securely fenced in for our safety. As the sign shows, the Wall Drug store is the sponsor of this billboard along with a few thousand others we saw while heading west on Highway 90. Wall Drug is basically a sprawling Wal-Mart / shopping mall with everything from fresh donuts and apple licorice to cowboy boots and camping gear (and oh yeah, pharmaceuticals too.) Wall Drug was purchased by a Nebraskan pharmacist in 1931 and received its claim to fame by offering free ice water to thirsty travelers in the depression era. Amusing rest stop to say the least and excellent way of burning a few hours on our way to Mt. Rushmore.
