FISH – A – LICIOUS

6/11: The Slomes finished our day by settling in at the Fish N’ Fry Campground. After powering through stops at Mt. Rushmore, Reptile Gardens (snakes, lizards, crocs, spiders, scorpions, etc), Bear Country U.S.A. (a junior varsity Jurassic Park), and Crazy Horse (native-american memorial that dwarfs Rushmore but is only a fraction done even after sixty years of sculpting), we still mustered up the strength to drop our poles into a stocked pond and catch some rainbow trout. Once these huge trout were fried to our dinner plates, Whitney coined them as “Fish-a-licious!”

Next stop Wyoming. Will talk later. Auf wieder sehen.

***Guzzle-meter tally: $476.85 (despite all the activities today we didn’t do a ton o’ driving, but we’ll make up for it tomorrow).

Does Robin remember that she caught her first trout, when she was about Whitney's age. She also helped her Dad clean the fish...amazing!
